About this work area

As a Unit People & Culture Business Partner your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement a comprehensive range of people and culture solutions and activities.
• Supporting the People & Culture Manager in the development of strategic and business plans by providing relevant subject matter expertise to support decision making.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to manage performance reviews and onboarding and off boarding activities.
• Engaging with the business on workforce, talent, co-worker engagement, organisational effectiveness and change management.
• Support managers regarding talent issues, including onboarding requests, coaching on performance management and other issues.
• Ensuring that the talent and succession goals and performance management are being achieved, providing advice and expertise to managers to secure a quality and timely process.
• Identify, gather and provide requirements to help with the development of P&C initiatives, to participate in the implementation of initiates, and to support data entry and documentation handling at a local level to ensure compliance.
• Implement a common way of managing co-worker relations issues, delivering consistency and fairness in all of our processes and actively performing an analysis of root causes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

To be considered for this role experience in the following is essential:
• A degree in human resources and/or proven experience in a People & Culture role; Business Partner/Generalist or equivalent role.
• Previous experience in New Zealand labour relations principles, local policies, procedures and laws.
• Robust experience in and in-depth understanding of various Human Resources topics, such as employee relations, industrial relations & talent management.
• Cultural competency and the ability to integrate equality, diversity, and inclusion practices within a workplace.

What you need to know
• This role is permanent full time.
• The work location for this role is IKEA Sylvia Park and external warehouse.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 1 weekend shift per month (both Saturday and Sunday), once IKEA Sylvia Park is open.
