As a People & Culture Specialist within Payroll, you play a key role in creating a better everyday life at work for the many people. In this role, you will:
- Take project responsibility for initiatives such as new wage types and reporting, owning change requests from start to finish.
- Act as a speaking partner to stakeholders internally and externally.
- Handle all activities related to payroll inquiries, including problem-solving, providing documentation, explaining check data, and resolving bank issues.
- Calculate salaries, wages, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
- Process and calculate all employee compensation, including special payments.
- Perform employment and wage verifications.
- Balance and control the pay processing cycle, including scheduling.
- Make manual adjustments and correct payment errors.
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit garnishments.
- Manage deduction outputs and salary distribution.
- Compile and analyze time collection records and vacation balances.
- Provide audit support and ensure data accuracy.
- Support co-workers with salary and payslip questions via hotline.
- Offer system support with a strong focus on developing processes and improving system efficiency.
- Be curious about system behaviors, understanding how they impact payroll processes and proactively identifying improvements.
- Investigate root causes of issues and drive sustainable solutions, not just quick fixes.
Qualification
We are looking for someone who wants to bring people and business together and help us create an excellent workplace. If you have experience with HR-IT digitalization, that’s a plus! You should:
- Be self-driven, able to work independently, and motivated to find new solutions while enjoying teamwork.
- Have proven experience in payroll in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel skills are a must).
- Be structured, organized, and hands-on – you make things happen in a simple way.
- Feel passionate about people and business and thrive in a complex, international environment.
- Have strong knowledge of Workday functionality, including data management and reporting.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Bring good analytical skills.
- Be fluent in English and Swedish, spoken and written.

Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö, and an IKEA shuttle bus running back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
