    WHO YOU ARE

    We are looking for a software engineer who loves to learn new things and continuously develop self and others. You are passionate about high‑quality software engineering and home furnishing business. You are enthusiastic about solving real needs in people’s homes. You bring:

    • 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer in combination of Scrum Master or technical lead
    • Experience working in agile/iterative development teams and DevOps setups

    Hands on experience building event driven systems and integrations

    Practical experience with MySQL, modeling querying and optimization

    Proficient in managing and deploying applications using AWS, Azure and GCP cloud services

    Hands on experience in RESTful services, React, JavaScript, node.js, python, API integrations and Databricks
    • Good knowledge of software engineering principles, architecture (e.g., microservices), CI/CD and modern toolsets
    • Strong interest in exploring new technologies
    • Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate technical concepts clearly
    • You are energized by building great solutions that create real customer and business value. You enjoy independence, co‑creation and living the IKEA culture and values.

    Your responsibilities

    As Country Software Engineer, you will design, develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions that strengthen IKEA’s digital foundation, contributing to teams’ technical delivery while supporting agile ways of working in collaboration with business owners. You have great communication and collaboration skills to be able to integrate with peers in IKEA and strategic partners on and off shore.

    You will:

    Lead, coach and mentor technical scrum ceremonies supporting team and overarching business needs and goals
    Own the product development quality and delivery end to end together in the team
    Develop high‑quality architecture and software based on prioritized country needs

    • Apply and promote good engineering practices including CI/CD
    • Deliver tests, performance analysis and specifications to strengthen product delivery
    • Explore and evaluate new technologies to drive innovation and optimization
    • Support and guide country digital and business stakeholders in good development practices
