Do you have experience as a supervisor, manager, or team leader in logistics? Then we are looking for you!
At IKEA, we strongly believe in a diverse and inclusive work environment. As a Goods flow team leader working in the logistics function, you lead, collaborate and co-create with a team of up to 20 colleagues.
You coordinate and optimize the goods flow process in the store, securing through all fulfilment channels and services the best possible customer availability and satisfaction. You contribute proactively to monitoring the quality of the goods flow process in the store and with our Service partners
Ensuring that we always deliver the best possible quality at the lowest possible price.
This is what we expect from you as a team leader:
- Coaching and Mentorship: You lead the goods flow team and support the development of their talents. You ensure that your team members can develop and grow in their roles.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: You identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and act on them. Productivity and Efficiency are the benchmarks of the process with a focus on KPI’s such as reducing waiting times, lowering costs, and optimizing the availability of our products.
- Quality and Customer Focus: You are responsible for positively influencing the quality of products, merchandising, and customer shopping experience in all fulfilment channels (in-store and Omni-channel). You do this by ensuring that items are stocked on time, undamaged, merchandised according to the IKEA principles.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: You embody IKEA values and contribute to a strong IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to exceed expectations in the store, specifically within the goods flow team.
- Health and Safety: You ensure that the goods flow team works according to IKEA internal regulations and local laws regarding health, safety, and the environment.
- Operations and Organization: You guarantee an efficient goods flow in the store by organizing internal logistics processes as smartly as possible (for example, unloading shipments, replenishing sales locations, picking pallets from our internal buffer, fulfilment flows) and collaborating with the sales departments and external service providers to optimize the store layout and routing for the Omni-channel fulfilment.
Qualifications
As a team leader, you excel in collaboration, prioritization, delegating responsibilities, and giving feedback. You continuously see opportunities to improve your ways of working. Additionally, you have:
- At least 3 years of demonstrable leadership experience, both operational and strategic.
- Work experience in a logistics role.
- Good knowledge of both Dutch and English.
For the team leader position, we require flexibility in working hours. The morning shift starts at 05:00, and the evening shift works until 01:00. As a team leader, you can be scheduled within these hours.

- Monthly salary between 3400 and 4400 EUR gross based on full-time employment, experience and background.
- Contract duration of 1 year with the prospect of a permanent position.

Availability
At IKEA the customer is in in focus. Our customers visit the store at various times, also in the evening, weekends, during national holidays and during school holidays. We expect that you will be present when the customers visits us. Of course, you have an impact on your schedule yourself as well.
