  • Who you are

You are ready for an exciting challenge and eager to help put Sales Location Management (SLM) on the agenda to ensure the right product availability for our store in Odense. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work that supports both the store team and our customers, while constantly striving to improve.

You are able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team and understand how to lead and influence others indirectly. You have experience building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and genuinely enjoy doing so. You are comfortable working with computer systems, are willing to develop a deeper understanding of them, and use this knowledge to improve ways of working. Furthermore, you are passionate about preparing IKEA for the future and adapting to changes in both the business and customer behavior.

In addition, we would prefer that you:
    • Have a deep understanding of SLM and know what impacts the required SSQ.
    • Understand both the sales perspective and logistics operations, as well as the effect SLM has on them.
    • Understand our SDS Tool and the importance of ensuring accurate product forecasting.
    • Are flexible and skilled at working in an environment of uncertainty, where next week's plan is not always known in advance.
    • Can work quickly, efficiently, and independently.
    • Have a constant drive to learn more and gain deeper knowledge.

A day in your life with us

The purpose of this role is to ensure commerciality and efficiency by working with SLM, including maintaining fully stocked sales locations that are both commercially effective and efficient to replenish.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Through training and follow-up, increase competence in the SLM tool and understanding of how it connects to forecasting.
    • Ensure strong KPI performance (most importantly: RSSQ for top-selling items and timely forecast adjustments).
    • Work closely with managers and colleagues across both sales and logistics functions.
    • Perform hands-on work on the sales floor, including relocating and modifying sales locations.
    • Identify and implement new solutions and ways of working that support a strong and efficient SLM setup.
    • Drive optimization of the Full Serve warehouse, focusing on product availability, efficient replenishment, and an excellent customer experience.
    • Continuously work with the relocation and optimization of sales locations and storage positions to improve efficiency.
    • Collaborate closely with other SLM Specialists in the Market Hall and Self-Serve Warehouse to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and the best solutions across the entire store.
    • Hold a forklift license or be willing to complete forklift certification upon employment.

    Together as a team

We are the team behind the scenes that makes IKEA products available to the many people. As a diverse group of co-workers, we use our expertise in supply processes to balance range and space capacity with forecasting and ordering, ensuring high product availability for customers while minimizing costs.
If you have ever wondered who is responsible for finding efficient ways to get products to our customers, that's us. We are passionate about working together to improve the customer experience at IKEA!
