    Additional information:
    • This role is Permanent Full-time (76hrs/fortnight)
    • The internal job title for this role is Food Coordinator
    • You will work on a rotating roster between 7:00am - 9:30pm on weekdays, and 3 out of 4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

    About this work area

    As a Kitchen Supervisor your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Contribute to a safe, healthy, and enjoyable food experience by supporting compliance with global and national food safety and operational standards.
    • Ensure a consistent and excellent customer experience by supporting the team to see through the customer’s eyes.
    • Coordinate daily operations across kitchen and service areas to ensure efficiency and smooth service delivery.
    • Allocate tasks, coordinate breaks, and support co-workers to maintain high performance and service standards.
    • Apply food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles in all daily activities, ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
    • Monitor performance through waste tracking, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives to drive efficiency.
    • Continuously review and improve daily operations to support operational and commercial excellence.



    As a Kitchen Supervisor you are or have:
    • Proven ability to coordinate daily operations and guide team members in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP), hygiene practices, and local regulations.
    • Holds (or willing to obtain) Food Safety Supervisor certification or equivalent.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail in stock management and waste reduction.
    • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
    • Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering a consistent and positive experience.
    • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure, especially during peak trading periods.
    • Motivated, reliable, and aligned to IKEA values, with a passion for food, people, and teamwork.
