  • Who you are

You are a senior internal communications professional who pairs strategic judgement with hands-on delivery. Co-worker focused, you confidently simplify complex messages and plans, advise stakeholders and challenge where needed.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you'll bring:
    • Solid internal communications experience, leading work from strategy to execution
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to advise, influence and push back
    • Sound understanding of IKEA’s vision, values and culture
    • A hands-on mindset and willingness to create, edit and deliver most of the work
    • Competencies to use AI and other digital tools to bring your comms plans to life • Excellent English writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for what co-workers need to know

If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you. We are currently looking for two Co-worker Communications Leaders to join the Internal Communications team. One position is permanent, and the other is a temporary position of approximately seven months covering a parental leave. Both roles are ideally starting on 1 November 2026. This position is based in Malmö and reports to the Internal Communications Manager.

As we do not offer a relocation package for this role, we are primarly looking for candidates already based in the Öresund region who are within resonable commuting distance of Malmö. We work from the office at least 3 days per week.

    Your responsibilities

This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced internal communications professional who knows how to turn strategy into impact. As a trusted advisor, you confidently guide stakeholders, shape narratives and transform business priorities into communication that resonates across the organization.

From strategy through execution, you create clear, engaging and meaningful communication across channels. You know how to cut through complexity and noise, ensuring co-workers connect with the messages that matter most and understand their role in the bigger picture.

    Together as a team

Our team is the voice of IKEA. We use words, pictures and videos to tell the story about IKEA, to build our brand and inspire people with our offer. We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are passionate about our coworkers. Of course, we’re also the ones who make sure to keep all our fellow co-workers informed, engaged and connected in a constantly changing business environment.
