  • PURPOSE OF THE JOB
    To lead, develop and inspire your team to optimise a joyful shopping experience from home to home to secure satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability in your store. In your strategies and actions, you steer the business in a multichannel retail environment, to attract new visitors and stimulate repetition of visit. To lead, develop and inspire your team and other functions in the store in increasing the home furnishing interest of the many people and creating demand for home furnishing solutions and know how in the local market. Accountable for the store layout, range presentation and store communication thereby contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home.
    This role will have the opportunity to work in an environment that encourages exploration of new business areas, including projects such as Plan and Order Point stores, offering strong opportunities for both personal and professional growth while building an ambitious and highly valuable skill set.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
    • Secure a consistent, seamless positive customer experience through all channels driving a customer-focused culture
    • Deliver and lead the commercial action plan for your store;
    • Contribute with knowledge of people's life at home, of your local market potential, and consumer shopping behaviour
    • Contribute in presenting the IKEA range that leads the store team to a relevant, sustainable and inspiring range presentation, an optimal store layout and effective and efficient store communication, translating insights from home visit interviews into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial home furnishing solutions
    • Secure vitality and seasonality in the store together with the store management team and being the speaking partner of the Sales and Supply Support Cluster: establish and maintain service agreements with internal stakeholders and external partners in order to protect operational standards and help safeguard the IKEA culture and brand.
    • Facilitate flexibility and sharing of experiences throughout the store with advantages for the customers and for the co-workers.

    WHO YOU ARE
    • Strongly experienced in Retail and Sales, with proven expertise in managing, inspiring, leading and developing people and creative processes in a changing environment
    • Business and result-oriented
    • You have a solid experience of planning and execution of business process
    • You have analytical and numerical skills including managing of Cost and budget
    • You understand the local market, competition and what this means for pricing and affordability, sales steering and how to work with layout as commercial tool, store media, display techniques
    • Good ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Italian (both written and spoken)

    Permanent contract classified at Level Quadro under the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement for Modern Organized Distribution. The annual gross salary for this position starts from 58.500€.
