  • An exciting opportunity has arisen at IKEA Dublin for two People Planning Specialists to join the team.

    Responsible for ensuring the store has the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time by managing schedules, workforce planning, and labour allocation to support customer and business needs.



    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be: November
    • Starting salary of €35,000 per annum, depending on experience and competence. Based on a 39-hour week; salary for a 24-hour contract will be pro rata.
    • 39 Hours working 5 days over 7 with one late evening per week and every 2nd weekend off.
    • 24 hours working 4 days over 7 with one late evening per week and every 2nd weekend off.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Experience working with Kronos,My time or Legion would be an advantage however not essential.
    • Experience of implementing long-term plans to have the right amount of people in place according to set budgets and goals.
    • Interact and engage naturally with a wide audience, and develop virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives.
    • Demonstrated leadership or stakeholder influencing experience.
    • Possess an understanding about the rights and obligations of co-workers and employers.
    • Takes action without needing direction from others – ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player.
    • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse data, meet deadlines, and achieve results.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Implement people planning strategy for the store, following principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team.
    • Ensuring adherence to IKEA employment standards, legal, and union requirements related to People Planning in the unit.
    • Contribute to the store complete people planning process, from forecasting to posting schedules timely, ensuring scheduled hours match coworker, customer and business needs.
    • Identify possible improvements in the unit people planning process and escalate any potential deviation to the Unit P&C manager when the scheduled or actual hours exceed the agreed financial framework.
    • Ensure that the store people planning process supports developing our talents and enable them to deliver an excellent and personal customer meeting.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure vacancies are filled with the right contract type, to secure the right preconditions for the co-worker to create a great customer meeting
    • Ensure unit co-worker awareness and knowledge of the people planning process and their role in it through education, training and support.
