    • Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you.

    We're looking for reliable and friendly people to join our Bistro & Swedish Food Market Team serve our customers a quick snack to go before they leave or support them in buying some of our fantastic food products to make at home. Full training is provided. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including those returning to work, looking for a career change, or seeking flexible part-time hours.

    If you love taking responsibility and working in a fast-paced environment this is the job for you.
    In the IKEA world, we call this position an IKEA Food Co-worker.

    WHAT WE OFFER
    • Start date of employment will be 12th December 2026
    • £13.45 per hour permanent contracts with advanced scheduling
    • 8 or 16 hour contracts available, you will be asked your preference as part of your application.
    Flexibility will be discussed at interview, but evenings and weekend working will be expected

    We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers.
    Due to Health & Safety regulations, some areas of the Food Department require applicants to be over the age of 18.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Prior Fast-Food experience is a plus
    • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
    • Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
    • You are passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
    • Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
    • Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • The role will involve a variety of tasks, where you will be required to prepare, cook & serve food, cleaning the Swedish Food Market & Bistro & serving on the Bistro till, whilst following health & safety standards.
    • Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
    • Adhere to all established safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure and compliant environment for both customers and team members. This includes the mandatory removal of all facial and ear piercings while on duty.
    • Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and create a positive work environment, contributing to a proud team.
    • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
    • Manual handling safely.
