    • This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.

    • This role will require you to work from Service Office in Tempe, NSW.

    About this work area
    As Tax Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Initiate, define and implement a country tax strategy in line with the relevant Group Policies, Strategies and Business Plans, after consultation with Group Tax.
    • Ensure control in respect of Direct and Indirect tax obligations, risks and opportunities, by
    implementing and maintaining the IKEA Group Tax Control Framework.
    • Ensure accurate and timely filing of the Corporate Income Tax returns, VAT returns and all other
    reports to local and central authorities in both AU and NZ.
    • Support on tax relevant matters regarding management and statutory reporting, identifying and sharing opportunities for improvement with Group Tax.
    • Manage local Transfer Pricing documentation in liaison with Group Tax.
    • Ensure correct application for and timely submission of forms to obtain tax treaty relief for Withholding Tax on Franchise Fee, Interest, Dividends and other relevant payments.
    • Advise the local finance organisation on any relevant tax matters.
    • Provide input to the relevant stakeholders, including Group Tax, on opportunities to optimise the
    • existing IKEA Australia legal structure and business set-up and how to structure new investments.
    • Lead in the implementation of changes to the structure or transactions.
    • Ensure accurate and compliant output of automated tax relevant solutions.
    • Handle tax audits, where relevant in cooperation with Group Tax.
    • Ensure availability of books and records in accordance with local legal requirements.
    • Ensure relevant tax competence, knowledge and awareness amongst team members and other relevant staff.
    • Participate in local and/or global projects (providing relevant input)

    As Tax Manager you have:
    • Proven experience in managing country tax operations with at least 8 years in Tax, both in advisory and in-house roles.
    • A degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Finance or an equivalent degree.
    • High analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate tax risks, identify opportunities for improvement and enact action plans to achieve them.
    • A strong collaborative approach working with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including Group Tax, Finance and Legal teams.
    • Deep understanding of local tax regulations, compliance frameworks, and tax planning strategies.
    • Excellent project management skills and the ability to implement tax strategies in a rapidly changing retail environment.
