WHAT WE OFFER

• £12.00 basic hourly rate (Living Wage Foundation Employer).
• Part time contracts of 12-hours a week, perfect for those who want a job that works around their schedules and other commitments.
• For this role, availability to work Saturdays and Sundays, as well as one weekday, is important. This contract will allow for one in four weekends off.
• We can discuss this further with you at interview and we always strive to meet the needs of our co-workers whilst meeting the needs of the business. We offer permanent contracts and advanced scheduling.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

We are looking for co-workers who strive to give an amazing customer shopping experience; co-workers that always put the customer at the heart of everything they do and inspire others to do the same.

The ideal candidate will have experience - paid, voluntary or at school - of working in a team environment. You will be passionate about learning, and enthusiastic about offering a superb customer experience for our customers. Retail or customer-facing experience is desirable.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

This role is varied with no two days being the same; one minute you could be on check-outs, and the next minute, you could be meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers and providing great customer service.

• You aim to create a positive experience for our customers so that they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
• You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
• Meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers at the check-outs and returns desk.
• Build loyalty by listening to our customers and using your knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions.
