This position shall be based out of Bangalore, India office.
Job description
As a Regulatory affairs leader, you will be leading regulatory development, internally and externally, to keep up a proactive approach to new and updated regulations.
What you do in this role
- Align Public Affairs and Regulatory Affairs priorities, within assigned area(s), and communicate to relevant stakeholders,
- Lead and facilitate strategic initiatives and projects related to Regulatory Affairs,
- Lead and coordinate external activities of upcoming legislations that need input from IKEA,
- Lead regulatory development activities of upcoming legislations, regulations and standards that impact cross IKEA organizations, and that are not part of the regular country inflow
- Lead and secure cross functional Regulatory Affairs work between IoS and retail countries/regions,
- Identify, develop and maintain the network of stakeholders at authorities, alliances and standardization organizations together with regional and national organizations, within assigned area,
- Contribute to risk assessment for retail markets,
- Contribute to the strategic agenda within Regulatory Affairs,
- Contribute to process improvements across the organizations related to Regulatory Affairs,
- Contribute to requirement activities in upcoming new retail markets
Qualification
- Comprehensive working experience of at least 10+ years in a relevant position such as regulatory affairs, government affairs and public policy
- Knowledge of various regulations like BIS standards and relevant region-wise regulations.
- Broad understanding of requirements and regulatory movements that could affect IKEA
- Good knowledge of the requirement process, including requirement management
- Very good knowledge about influencing within regulative forums
- Ability to navigate in a complex business environment
- Extended language skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English and preferably an additional language.
- Ability to travel extensively, within India primarily but also beyond.
