- Support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the
continued success of the IKEA concept.
Your responsibilities
'- Demonstrate passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
- Approach actively the arriving and browsing customers to greet them so that they feel expected and welcomed and identify their overall need to support them in the best way by asking the right questions.
- Prepare yourself for the meetings with the customers and secure that the customers feel comfortable in the meeting. Host your customer as a guest.
- Support and consult the self-planning customer, identify opportunities and check the self-planned solution by securing a good process from the beginning.
- Lead in a 1:1 appointment through your planning proposal by communicating benefits and adapting through understanding the customer feedback in order to convert the planning offer into an order.
- Offer all relevant available services, finalize, reassure and complement the shopping cart to give the customers a good feeling. Guide the customer through the payment process and contact the customer for after sales service.
- Secure an efficient return process incl. system handling and if needed communication with matrix store and return goods handling.
- Practice Active Selling by ensure maximize sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards the top-selling and prioritized products.
- Prepare product presentation and secure merchandising basics. Ensure all customer material and digital solutions are ready to use - to give customers a positive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate IKEA values and sustainability commitments to emphasize the difference between IKEA and all other Furniture Sellers.
- Contribute to the highest goods availability for customers by the correct and on-time execution of the assigned PaOP goods flow tasks.
- Perform effectively the plan and order goods flow operation in the assigned area, using the available systems and tools that support an efficient goods flow process and data integrity.

- Senior Sales experience of working in a customer- and commercial-oriented business.
- Open to change / high flexibility and excellent attention to details.
- Enthusiastic and able to work with others in a team.
- Communicate polite and engaging in all touchpoints with the customer.
- Excellent knowledge in Sales and Planning systems.
- A passion for home furnishing, retailing and Design.
- Confident in approaching and talking to people in a proactive manner.
- Interest in people’s everyday life at home and home furnishing.
- Ability to priorities and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available.
- Ideally ability to communicate in English.
