Who you areAt IKEA, we are passionate about creating fantastic customer experiences. We are therefore looking for you who have a passion for providing good customer service and are not afraid of hard labour. Your background can be diverse. However, the most important thing is that you want to meet a lot of people every day.
To be successful in this position you must:
• Be service-minded, approachable, and can put yourself in the customer's shoes
• Have a good eye for detail and at the same time thrive in routine tasks
• Work independently and manage to keep a cool head in a busy, fast-paced everyday life
What you'll be doing day to day
In the Goods Handout department, we are ready to give customers the best ending to their purchase when they have to pick up ordered goods from the warehouse or online Purchases. We are working independently, but also involving each other when necessary. With us, you get a wide range of tasks. However, your primary task is to serve the many customers when they are ready to pick up their orders from the warehouse or online purchases.
Your tasks will therefore be to:
• Hand out goods to customers with a smile
• Handling of sold goods that are not in stock anyway
• Scan and quality-assure orders before handout, so we ensure that customers get the right goods in good quality
• Ensure that everyone keeps track of all prepackaged customer orders to avoid unnecessary waiting time and thus give customers the best IKEA experience.
Our team within IKEA
Our cool Handout Team consists of both full-time and part-time employees. And even though our department is on the other side of the warehouse and away from the rest of the store, we work closely with other departments and take pride in giving our customers the best experience. In addition, we have a really good team spirit, where there is room to have fun while you are at work. We take good care of each other and work together in a group when things are busy. Therefore there is room to be exactly who you are, and you have the opportunity to create a strong social network.
