Job description

We are now looking for a Product Lifecycle Engineer for our Textile platform development team

As Product Lifecycle Engineer (PLE) you will be responsible for the support to the engineering team with administration, documentation, and verification activities. You will help to ensure that product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards. 

Main responsibly and tasks:

  • Responsible for buildup and lifecycle management of technical data for materials and processing of textiles we use in our entire IKEA range.
  • Responsible to find and act on gaps in technical documentation.
  • Work with and secure accuracy of attributes used for building our range of textiles, such as virtual photos, 3D scanning, etc.
  • Support development teams towards achieving fully compliant range of textiles.

Qualification
  • You have studied engineering, preferably in the field of textiles
  • Experience of working in the field of textile industry -raw materials, product development, production and supply chain will be considered as an advantage. 
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle management (PLM) will be considered as an advantage. 
  • Excellent computer skills (Windchill, CAD, MS office…)
  • You have passion for sustainable and carbon neutral economy
  • IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written.

The position is based in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
