About Area  

Retail Concept is assigned to protect, expand, and develop the IKEA Concept and the IKEA Brand in existing and new markets. This includes sharing IKEA knowledge and learning across the Franchise System. Additionally, we also work with the development of solutions that will ensure a unique and successful meeting with existing and new IKEA customers. 

 

About the Job  
You will be a part of Present The Offer team, who is responsible to create a successful, consistent, and relevant experience of IKEA across all customer meetings, through the unique IKEA way to present the offer. We lead and enable commercial, relevant, and efficient retail solutions for all Franchisees. We secure the continuous development of ways to present the IKEA offer across all CMPs, emphasizing development in the digital channels. We also lead and develop required capabilities to secure excellent omni-channel range presentation. We lead, enable, and contribute to the development of a strong and relevant Franchise offer. We do this through connected frameworks including principles, guidelines, good examples, tools and enablers for business impact across IKEA.  

 

Job Description 

Key Responsibilities as Present the Offer specialist: 

In this role your will be responsible for enabling a successful and relevant omnichannel experience of IKEA across all customer meetings, together with key stakeholders across the value chain. You will safeguard the IKEA brand and support the business to follow up on the performance and implementation of IKEA concept. 

You will secure the conceptual content for presenting the range in an omnichannel retail environment. Creating enablers to build competitive advantage through outstanding expertise in the areas of retail/shop design and layout in the Home Furnishing business will also be in your scope. Additionally, you will lead the development of how we present the offer in future retail environment and utilizing relevant insights (both external and internal insights) for future success. 

 
You will also:  

  • develop, engage and inspire a network in of relevant competencies across the value chain and together with Franchisees build and create the best possible Franchise offer 

  • Initiate and lead development of solution design within modular retail system, including guidelines, solutions and examples for how the IKEA offer is presented across all digital and physical customer meeting points, using democratic design principles as guiding formula for exploration, development and deployment 

  • Ensure omnichannel operational excellence in an entrepreneurial way, for creating efficient and seamless customer experience for all customer meetings 

  • Acting as an omnichannel ambassador, thus be willing to embrace digital transformations  
     

Qualifications 

What do you need to know to be successful? 

We see that you are a person who is natural in inspiring and have a deep passion for omnichannel retailing, our range, our customers, and our co-workers. 

You can lead initiatives and assignments around Omnichannel Range Presentation across organisations for the continuous development of the IKEA Retail System and operating model to secure a commercial, profitable and sustainable business model, and have worked with this over a roadmap for several years.  

You can lead and develop assignments/projects across IKEA and delivering results together with others of how we present the offer in future retail environment, reflecting trends, shopping behaviors, consumer needs and has done so in other ways through a long-term futuristic development.  

 
Additionally, you have:  

  • In-depth Retail Business- and Concept Competence  

  • In-depth knowledge of omnichannel customer journeys, customer centric retail design and e-commerce business 

  • Knowledge about what physical and digital capabilities are needed to fulfil both customer and business needs 

  • Proven track record of impactful physical and digital merchandising 

  • Confidence to relentlessly drive clarity from business strategy through discovery, test and validate experimentation towards impactful outcomes 

  • Capability to navigate and lead in a complex, unknown and fast changing environment 

  • Interdependent leadership 

  • Passion for what you do and a strong desire to have fun at work
