IKEA Industry Malacky Site is one of the key manufacturing locations within IKEA Industry and plays a vital role in supporting the IKEA vision of creating a better everyday life for many people. Located in western Slovakia, the Malacky Site is a strategically positioned and dynamic production hub with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
The site consists of three core production units:
The Board production unit is dedicated to the manufacturing of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable wood-based boards and panels. These boards form the foundation for many IKEA furniture products and are developed with a focus on resource efficiency, durability, and environmental responsibility.
The High Gloss furniture production unit specializes in producing high gloss furniture, with a particular emphasis on bathroom solutions. This unit combines advanced surface technology with precise craftsmanship to deliver modern, stylish, and functional furniture that meets the aesthetic and practical needs of today’s customers.
The MBK Production unit is a state-of-the-art, innovative facility focused on producing one of IKEA’s most iconic and beloved products – the BILLY bookcase. Some 11 million pieces of the KOMPLEMENT shelves is expected to reach customers yearly from this unit. This modern factory is designed for high-volume, high-efficiency production while maintaining exceptional quality standards and flexibility to adapt to evolving customer expectations.

Job description
In your role, you are responsible for leading and setting up supply chain team in both the Boards and Furniture units. Organizing and overseeing supply chain activities is a key aspect of your role, and you provide effective leadership and motivation to our dedicated employees.
You maintain regular communication with our customers and suppliers, ensuring smooth collaboration. Coordinating the procurement of primary materials for production is an important aspect of your role, ensuring the right quantity and quality. You also oversee the coordination of demand planning activities to effectively meet customer demands. Preparation of comprehensive documentation and reports for management, including sales evaluation, stock development, and material deliveries, is part of your responsibilities. You actively participate in the implementation of logistic and warehouse systems, ensuring compliance with other standards such as FSC and IWAY. Working closely with the production and quality departments, you ensure customer needs are met. You maintain control over compliance with storage and logistic standards. Active participation in the sales budget preparation process is expected from you. Collaborating with all departments of the company, you actively contribute to introducing new products.
Qualification
- You should hold a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- 10 years of proven experience in Supply Chain preferably in manufacturing
- You should possess strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop people and building the team
- You should have a solid understanding and experience of procurement, production planning, warehousing, purchasing, and sales processes.
- You will be responsible for preparing economic studies, business analyses and forecasts and proposing effective solution, therefore strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed
- Effective management of input, output, and continuous controlling processes is expected from you.
- Excellent communication skills to engage all stakeholders
