    As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the customer communication experiences for millions of people around the world. You are passionate about empowering teams and delivering robust technical products. You aim to make a meaningful impact and remain steadfast even during challenging times.

    We expect you to consider the total customer experience and collaborate across product areas and domains, with Marketing and Communication as your focus. You leverage the power of a large business, balancing stakeholders, suppliers, and goals to unleash the potential of togetherness.

    Examples of your core responsibilities are:
    • Technology Accountability: Ensure well-designed and resilient technical solutions, often implemented with a combination of Software-as-a-Service and own development.
    • IKEA Leadership: Lead diverse software engineering teams with IKEA values as a compass. Being different with a meaning while staying cost-conscious and working together, while having fun.
    • General Oversight: Oversee budget and capacity plans to meet forecasts, deadlines and promote continuous improvement.

    What do we expect you to have:
    • You have 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong leadership skills, an Agile/DevOps mindset, and experience in leading through change.
    • Experience in working in an area where collaboration with external partners is key to excel in this area with many external dependencies.
    • You are passionate about high-quality software, leading diverse teams, and embracing technology, innovation, and IKEA’s culture and values in both independent and collaborative settings.
    • You demonstrate extensive knowledge of software engineering practices, industry-standard toolsets, design and architecture concepts, and technology capabilities.
    • You promote agile practices, lead and coach teams, actively acquire new skills, and understand the integration of technology within and outside IKEA’s business.

    Together with your peers from Growth & Marketing, and other domains, you will co-create and facilitate a comprehensive, omnichannel Marketing and Communication experience that will be provided to our customers and co-workers across the world, every day.

    The role is based in Malmö, Sweden. In this recruitment there is no relocation support provided by IKEA; hence we're looking for people already living in the mentioned location.

    In this role, you will report to the Product Engineering Manager for the Marketing Activation product area as a part of the Growth & Marketing domain within Digital.
