Who you are

We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager- Construction & Fit-out Ingka Procurement.

The Sourcing Manager will lead, steer and develop the sourcing agenda within Construction and Fit-Out Category and ensure that an effective and efficient procurement team will deliver to the total needs of the business. The Sourcing Manager will be accountable for collaboration and building strategic partnerships with business partners and stakeholders within and outside of IKEA.
We are looking for you with a genuine interest in securing a great customer experience, who wants to join our Procurement organisation as a Sourcing Manager and lead a team of engaged co-workers on this journey.
We believe that you have experience of leading and managing both people and business in a global context, managing cross functional teams in a multinational organization. You are confident to navigate in the unknown, and you make changes happen by engaging and motivating people around you, as you lead business through people, both in a remote and an onsite environment.
We see that you are highly motivated to build and maintain strong business relationships. You are an excellent communicator with an interest in cross-functional collaboration and partnerships.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:

• 15+ year of relevant experience with 4-6 years in leading and managing global organizations.
• Experience of leading business through people on a senior level by demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
• Great track record of leading business with a holistic view and translating long-term priorities into clearly defined action plans, always with the total IKEA in mind.
• Experience of running and managing complex sourcing projects within Construction
• Long experience of Supplier management and supplier development
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to lead a team in remote settings.
• Experience from a multinational company and managing cross functional teams. Able to lead by example and share the IKEA values
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
• Exceptional leadership capabilities and you have long experience of managing large teams in onsite and remote settings.
• Extensive industry expertise and proficiency in the local construction market's regulations and prevailing practices, complemented by a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Cost Management.
• Strong Proficiency in Procurement Strategy Development and Implementation for Construction and Renovation Projects.
• Extensive experience leading and managing procurement and contracting for large-scale greenfield projects and retail developments.
• In depth knowledge to Implement design/technical & construction related procurement processes and compliance to company policies with focus on continuous improvement for efficient and effective Project delivery
• Knowledge and experience of FIDIC and general contractual understanding.
• Proven experience in managing a team to ensure that team acquires necessary skills to perform their roles and exhibit required performance attributes in line with business and personal development needs.
• Comprehensive understanding in RFx preparation, contract drafting, contract negotiation and execution.
• Ability to understand the cost / market drivers in a Construction and Fit out industry to help build strategies to optimize the cost and prioritize as per business needs.
• Expertise in leading Procurement & Contracting work for multiple packages in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Expertise in identifying, assessing, and managing procurement risks effectively at various stages of the project's lifecycle.
• Proficient in Project Life Cycle Costing Analysis (LCCA) with a proven ability to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Implement category/country procurement Governance.
• Frequently visiting construction sites across IKEA India Locations to support project requirements.
• Leadership and management of a team of Sourcing Leaders and Purchasers, directing them in the implementation of initiatives focused on low-cost establishment and local sourcing. and low-cost establishment strategies.
• Expertise and enthusiasm in driving the advancement of the Construction & Fit out in alignment with strategic business objectives & established business priorities.
• Ensure a safe and compliant environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies and standards.
• Knowledge of Post Contract and change Management process including commercial negotiation, claims, and disputes.

In this role, you will report to Category Manager Construction & Fit Out based in Sweden. Your place of work will be Bengaluru- India
