  • Hej Process Development Leader! Ready to help shape the future with smart, innovative solutions?

At IKEA, you can feel at home while making a difference for millions. We’re a place where everyone is welcome, encouraged to explore new tech, try new things and grow from mistakes. As our Process Development Leader, you’ll have the chance to stretch your skills, experiment and work in new ways.

We are on a journey to transform the Technology and Platform organisation to build a modern and scalable technology foundation for Inter IKEA. To make this shift possible, we need an organisation that is fully aligned with our Operating Model: one that works with a strong product‑ and platform‑ setup and mindset and is ready to take full accountability from strategy to delivery.

    About the role

We’re looking for a Process Development Leader who wants to solve meaningful, real‑world challenges that help make life at home better for the many. Join us on our journey as we strengthen and evolve our technology platforms and digital services to enable safe, reliable, and sustainable experiences across IKEA.

As a Process Development Leader, you’ll take the lead in shaping and improving the end-to-end processes that keep our business moving, from the big picture to the everyday details that help us work smarter.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across functions to co-develop and operate our IKEA Business Process Management Framework. Your passionate work creates the conditions for efficient, consistent and effective ways of working, supporting us on our path toward operational excellence.

You’ll bring people together, connect the dots between processes and help ensure we’re always moving in one clear direction. Sometimes that means leading cross-functional initiatives, facilitating analysis and removing waste. Alternatively, you could be helping teams understand how processes work and where to improve them.

It’s all about building a more aligned, more efficient and more future ready IKEA.

    About you

You’re passionate about making things better, not just on paper but in real life with real people. You’re curious, collaborative and energized by both the big picture and the practical steps needed to get us there.

You love working with others, challenging old habits and exploring new and smarter ways of doing things. And when things get complex, you’re the one who brings clarity, structure and calm.

You’re motivated by our IKEA vision and values, and you believe strongly that we create the best solutions together. You enjoy building relationships, supporting competence development and guiding teams toward a more process-oriented mindset.

If you get energy from change, collaboration and helping people succeed, this could absolutely be the role for you.

To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable

    Personality Profile

    • Strong listener who can challenge assumptions and create clarity.

    • Takes clear accountability and leads with IKEA values close to heart.

    • Communicates with calm clarity, even in uncertainty.

    • Brings a clear vision and helps others understand the way forward.

    • Shows empowering leadership and helps people grow.

    • Pragmatic, hands on and able to simplify complexity.

    • Curious about new technology and trends.

    • Comfortable defining what is needed even when not all prerequisites are in place.

    • Courageous in driving transformation and inspiring change.

    • Collaborative with a strong “better together” mindset.

    • Positive, self-driven and persistent when facing challenges.

    • Above all, to thrive at IKEA, you should lead with our values and enjoy working in a culture built on togetherness, simplicity, cost-consciousness and a drive to always find better ways.

    Knowledge Profile

    • Experience with business process management, process modelling and process development. Familiar with data driven process mining.

    • Solid knowledge in DevOp’s, IT operations and ITIL framework at scale.

    • Understanding of modern platform/product management practices.

    • Ability to translate strategies and business needs into clear development plans.

    • Proficiency in performing business analysis, scenario planning, and drawing clear conclusions to support sound business decisions and effective implementations of new ways of working.

    • Awareness of cost and value drivers and how process improvements affect them.

    • Experience with enterprise wide FinOps and digital cost management.

    • Understanding of the IKEA value chain, ways of working and business model.

    • Knowledge of change management and how to support people through transformation.

    • Ability to work with strategic vendor partnerships.

    • Awareness of modern hybrid and multi-cloud architecture.

    • Experience leading complex development projects with multiple stakeholders.

    About us

At IKEA, we think and work differently. We challenge old patterns and create new solutions, whether that’s a music-playing lamp or plant-based food that’s better for the planet. Our vision is simple: to create a better everyday life for the many people.

In Technology and Platform, we support the whole organisation by providing reliable technology and digital platforms that are easy to use and built for the future. By working closely with others across IKEA, we turn technology into real value and support ongoing transformation.
