    • IKEA Birmingham are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser to their team.

    A Visual Merchandiser at IKEA designs store layouts, creates attractive displays, and collaborates with teams to enhance the customer shopping experience.


    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be: 26th of April 2025
    • Starting salary of £26,400 based on competence and experience .
    • 39 Hours working 5 days per week
    Shifts Monday to Friday 7am - 15:45pm.
    • This role however requires availability to work 1 weekend in 15, and occasional late evening nightshift and early morning shifts may be required to support our range changes throughout the year.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • You have a qualification or experience in a relevant creative field.
    • A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, is preferred however not essential as full training will be provided.
    • You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to use generate new ideas to inspire our customers.
    • You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
    • Understanding the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor's expectations.
    • Collaborate with the Com&In team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results
    • Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes.
    • This role is very much 20% planning and 80% implementation.
