  • About the Job

We are seeking a Channel Specialist to join our dynamic Channels Team at IKEA. The successful candidate will work on customer-facing IKEA.com Global and/or our innovative co-worker channel IKEA.net. IKEA.com Global is our brand-building editorial channel, where we share inspirational and diverse IKEA stories—from sustainability report highlights to tips for a better life at home and our latest collections, to name just a few—in fresh and engaging ways. IKEA.net is an internal channel designed to inform and inspire co-workers around the world. We are passionate about what we do!

As a Channel Specialist, you will deliver a digital experience that strengthens the IKEA brand and business by creating engagement, interest, trust, and knowledge. This is achieved through the concept, design, development, creation, and publication of editorial and informational content on IKEA.com Global and IKEA.net channels. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and colleagues across the business.

    About You
You thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and ever-evolving work environment where new ideas and professional expertise are highly valued. If you wish to be part of a team dedicated to celebrating what makes IKEA unique and wonderful while providing measurable value to the business, this role may be perfect for you.

To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experiences are essential:

    • Significant experience in communication and dynamic digital content creation or similar fields.
    • Strong ability to deliver polished, high-quality digital concepts and content within strict deadlines.
    • Understanding of audiences and strategies to enhance key messages to support different needs and situations.
    • Passion for communication and conveying information effectively to consumers and/or co-workers.
    • Extensive expertise in concepting, producing, and publishing excellent deliverables through collaboration with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
    • Good understanding of our identity, tone of voice, core values, and vision, ensuring the right representation of the IKEA Brand.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.
    • Confident ability to choose and utilize strong visual assets and optimum layout templates.
    • Effective presentation and pitch skills.

    About the Area
Core Business Retail Concept is dedicated to protecting, expanding, and developing the IKEA Concept and the IKEA Brand in both existing and new markets. This involves sharing IKEA knowledge and learning across the franchise system.

At IKEA, we do things a bit differently. We think differently, act differently, and work differently. We enjoy challenging norms, creating innovative products like music-playing lamps, beds disguised as sofas, and plantballs that contribute to sustainability. All of this is aligned with our vision: to create a better everyday life for the many people. This vision has motivated our co-workers for over 75 years. By 2030, we aim to help millions more look forward to going home. Maybe you can help us?
