About the job
*You will work together with your colleagues in the IKEA Food management team; lead and manage the kitchen production team to fulfil the purpose of our function by building business and people together. You strive to make people smile while providing irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our guests a good reason to return again and again.
*You take ownership for ensuring food safety in all parts of the store and train others as appropriate. You lead and manage co-workers so that we provide irresistible food offers of good taste and quality served in a safe and efficient way.
*You will together work with IKEA Food team ensuring the full potential of IKEA Food is realised and the following 10 tasks are fulfilled:
1. Attract visitors to the IKEA store
2. Offer a range that appeal to the many people on the market
3. Strengthen the low-price profile of the IKEA store
4. Strengthen the quality perception of the IKEA store
5. Contribute to a day out for the whole family
6. Strengthen the Swedish profile of the IKEA store
7. Build trust for the IKEA store among customers, co-workers and suppliers
8. Ensure that IKEA co-workers get a good meal for a low price
9. Serve the many store visitors
10. Be efficient and generate a reasonable profit
Your assignment
- Contribute actively in the development and implementation of a clear IKEA Food action plan for store using the store business plan and country business plan.
- Ensure that the operations of all IKEA Food areas in the IKEA Store operate in accordance with IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and other relevant legislation.
- Utilize relevant reporting tools, such as profit and loss, Store Point, the Functional Commercial Review, IKEA Customer Satisfaction Survey and VOICE, to develop the IKEA business.
- Strive towards accurate sales forecasts for the area to enable proper supply planning, ordering, efficient goods handling and stock control.
- Actively use the product sheets to train co-workers. Ensure all co-workers taste and learn about new products be-fore they are launched.
- Ensure the efficient maintenance of the area, securing it is clean, organized, attractive and inviting to provide a positive guest experience.
- Secure optimal productivity by ensuring a staff planning process aiming for the right number of competent co-workers, at the right times, in the right places to meet customers’ needs.
- Empower, support and coach co-workers on the job to help them perform better and grow.
- Contribute and support relevant marketing and in-store activities.
Qualification
Your profile
- Experience of working in vibrant retail environment in managing/leading and developing a team.
- Advanced knowledge of food production and food safety. Preferably gained in a retail/food service environment.
- Experience from food service business from areas like events, catering, big social restaurant operations or traditional restaurant business.
- Experience of creating long-term action plans and setting budgets and following up on goals. Proven record of meeting agreed goals.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities with the drive to make things happen. Tactical thinker.
- Communicates well with others and is able to influence and co-operate with different functions.
- English communication skills.
- MS Office literate.
