PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Purpose of the job is to be a Business Partner for Managers and Leaders of the Roma City (3 IKEA stores and ours Plan & Order Point in Rome) to contribute to the unit management team to secure People strategies are locally implemented into action in the most effective and efficient way. Facilitate a working environment where the IKEA values and culture are a living reality.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
• Act as a People & Culture business partner to the Unit Managers on all people topics, for the City Market Area across the Units
• Lead and develop the unit P&C team to provide excellent co-worker experience for the City Area
• Ensure the people strategy, global principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team and relevant business plans are operationally implemented and lived up to
• Responsible for implementation of co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labour relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and law
• Together with the Finance Manager, you are responsible for the distribution of budget hours between the unit departments, according to the need of the business and the co-worker, enabling an effective and efficient people planning process as well as following up the entire unit staffing optimisation process (commercial influences, possible improvements, ensuring work schedules and actual worked hours comply with all labour rules and internal requirements)
• Implement people planning strategy at the store level, to secure the people planning priorities that promote co-worker empowerment while ensuring schedules are within budget frames.
• Influence store management team to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their function
• Ensure delivery of learning & training at unit level, supported by the P&C Generalist or Market Area Learning Delivery Specialist
• Ensure local employer communication is consistent, well perceived and builds on the IKEA brand
• Together with the market area manager, secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers in taking the lead with special focus on developing talents and high-performing potentials
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
• Minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience and minimum of 5 years in leadership role as a HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a multinational context
• Preferably experience in Retail Mass Market or Operational, Logistics and Supply Chain sector
• You are passionate about people and you have a strong belief in individuals’ potential, you are also passionate in creating an engaging co-worker experience and are able to lead business through people
• Strong knowledge of staff planning and staff optimization on wide groups and teams within big size stores
• Strong knowledge about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and how to mediate the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the government
• Strong leaderships skills and ability to influence stakeholders at different levels
• You demonstrate the ability of use different leadership styles and needs as well as appropriate use for different situations
• You have the ability to implement long terms plan according to set budgets and goals
• Ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player
• Full proficiency in English and Italian both written and spoken
• Open to work variable shifts and weekends and to work on a multisite location in Rome
