    • Join us as Senior Business Navigator III - Business Area 2, London Market

    We’re looking for a Senior Business Navigator to join our team in Business Area 2, London Market reporting to the Country Business Navigation Manager. You will help to enhance customer value, good growth and optimise long term business performance for IKEA Retail, by enabling better business decisions, securing efficiency and leading in accordance with financial and business strategies. This includes securing (financial) business performance, a safe and secure environment in compliance with laws, policies and standards and process.

    You will be a pro-active, trustworthy business partner who takes a multi-dimensional view of the business, connecting the needs of customers and the organisation with a complete overview of the profit & loss, and understanding of the balance sheet and cash flow management.     WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

    • Senior Ingka Business experience from an IKEA retail market Service office and unit commercial business knowledge and cross-functional understanding of how IKEA operates.
    • Store business navigation manager experience in a high volume store for several years, with leadership experience in BN & at least one other SSG role, and a working understanding of project management.
    • Effectively builds relationships within and across organisations, including influencing at senior levels, to help achieve business outcomes.
    • Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide ranging application in business context.
    • Good knowledge of the IKEA Concept, the IKEA Brand Identity and the IKEA culture & Values.
    • In-depth knowledge of IKEA business tools, processes and cycles to formulate and develop strategies to drive the IKEA business and enable better business outcomes, today and tomorrow.

    Capabilities & Skills:

    • Skilled communicator and influencer with capacity to influence decisions and create energy and commitment within the organisation.
    • Strategic, tactical and operational business partner, with strong analytical skills, translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions.
    • Comfortable working in agile structures and cross-functional teams to lead change through fully integrated communication with the business goal and the key target audiences in focus., with the ability to handle a constantly changing environment with many different stake holders and demands.
    • Ability to understand the complexity of the IKEA business and the role of business navigation as an integrated part of Omni Area 3.


    WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY TO DAY

    • Provide country management with information, analysis and expert insight to support, challenge and steer the country towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability.
    • Provide accurate, timely and relevant business information and expertise to the necessary target groups in a way which inspires and engages them to take meaningful decisions and actions to achieve the goals
    • Partner with the units in their financial performance and be responsible for the subsequent country financial submission to global retail business navigation.
    • Have a full overview of the P&L and take responsibility for specific lines of the country P&L supporting challenging and steering the units and central functions to achieve their goals in these areas.
    • Contribute functional expertise to the country pricing process to maximise commercial opportunities and achieve country gross margin goals.
    • Identify and actively pursue business opportunities as they arise.
    • Work, and follow up with, appropriate partners in units and SO functions to secure the effective implementation of tools, processes and best practice to secure the customer experience and the strong retail foundation.
    • Carry out Financial Health Topic Reviews and support the units in improving their functional review outcomes in order to achieve growth, optimal performance and sustained long-term profitability and to improve competence and the customer experience.
    • Secure the performance measurement and support to improve performance of the major KPI’s by being close to operations such as organizing workshop for business improvement, benchmark activities etc.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

    • This role has a starting salary of £70,000 per annum. The amount decided is dependent on the successful candidate’s current base salary and their displayed competencies for the role.
    • Full-time: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
    • Location: UK Service Office, Wembley, Flexible working principles, 12 days’ workplace presence, of which 8 must be in Wembley, with the remaining 4 in an individual's nearest unit.
