The Content Recommendations (C-Recs) and Product Recommendations (P-Recs) products within the area of Central Decisioning are rapidly evolving, and we are seeking a dynamic, people-centric leader to join us on this exciting journey. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the recommendation experience for millions of people around the world. You are passionate about empowering teams and delivering robust innovative technical products. You aim to make a meaningful impact and remain steadfast even during challenging times.

We expect you to consider the customer experience and collaborate across the entire decisioning area, with C-Recs and P-Recs as your focus. You will leverage the power of a large business, balancing stakeholders, goals, and priorities to unleash entrepreneurial potential. A collaborative mindset is essential; in your day-to-day, you will work closely across disciplines to ensure we build products our customers love and that the business needs.

Examples of your core responsibilities are:
• Technology Accountability: Ensure a well-designed and resilient implementation of technical solutions aligned with the product’s growth.
• IKEA Leadership: Lead a diverse software engineering team with IKEA values as your compass. Doing it differently, think cost conscious and approach challenges together and have fun on the way!
• General Oversight: Oversee budgets and capacity plans to meet forecasts, deadlines and promote continuous improvement.

What you'll need to have

• You have 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong leadership skills, specializing in web development, with an Agile/DevOps mindset, and leading through change.
• You have experience working closely with Data & Analytics teams, including ML experts, and understand the technologies and dependencies between Data & Analytics and engineering.
• You have a proven track record in real-time personalization and customer orchestration, ensuring tailored experiences and seamless interactions for users.
• You are passionate about high-quality software, leading diverse teams, embracing technology and innovation.
• IKEA’s culture and values in both independent and collaborative settings.
• You demonstrate extensive knowledge of software engineering practices, industry-standard toolsets, design and architecture concepts, and technology capabilities.
• You to promote agile practices, lead and coach teams, actively acquire new skills, and understand the integration of technology within IKEA’s business.

Together with your peers in Growth & Marketing, and other domains, you will co-create and facilitate a comprehensive, omnichannel C-Recs and P-Recs experience that will be provided to our customers and co-workers every day, across the world.

The role is based in Malmö, Sweden, and you will report to the Product Engineering Manager - Content Management.

In this recruitment there is no relocation support provided by IKEA, hence we're looking for people already living in the mentioned location.
