Additional information: • This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight • The internal job title for this role is Food Operations Manager • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As a Food Operations Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Lead and coach the operations team in optimising and developing the IKEA Food business by securing the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and people & planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints. • Support your leadership team in managing the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning and competence development of the team. • Formulate, lead and execute the department’s action plans alongside an overview of the store business plan. • Secure processes and procedures to ensure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations and reduce waste. • Implement global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain and range competence within the store. • Secure an irresistible food offer by ensuring quality and an appealing range presentation.
As a Food Operations Manager you are or you have • Previous leadership experience in a fast-food environment • Passionate about creating an unforgettable customer experience through your love for food, the products and service delivery. • An experienced and inspirational leader who can bring out the best in your team and have an inherent nature to develop and nurture growth in people. • A customer centric mindset and are driven to analyse customer insights to identify opportunities and with your team implement and execute action plans. • Confident in driving business through commerciality and have experience in managing costs, budgets, and rosters. • A strong communicator, with influencing and negotiating skills, you have the with the ability to collaborate and engage cross-functional teams to drive the IKEA Food agenda.
