IKEA Manchester are looking to welcome a Warehouse Assistant to join our hard-working fulfilment team.
In this role you will work in the store to ensure that all products reach their right place before the store opens to customers, ensuring that customers can purchase everything they are looking for.
WHAT WE OFFER
• Start Date of employment will be: 2nd of February 2025
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour. For hours worked between 10pm and 6am there is also a nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour.
• 24 Hours, working 4 nights per week starting either at 10pm or 12am, including alternate weekends.
• 24 Hours, working 4 mornings per week starting either at 4am, including alternate weekends.
• 16 Hours, working 4 mornings per week starting either at 6am, including alternate weekends.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.
Due to Health and Safety restrictions anyone working between the hours of 10pm and 6am must be over the age of 18.
Please be aware that the IKEA Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• You will work with inbound stock to ensure that products are available to customers from store opening.
• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the store.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
