    For this role we believe you have a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or a related field combined with 8 -12 years of increasingly responsible accounting and/or auditing experience in similar or larger organisation as well as 5+ years of managerial/team lead experience. Moreover, you have knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (Local GAAP and Ingka GAAP), internal controls , financial reporting and tax laws as well as demonstrated ability to perform wide variety of high level accounting, budgeting and financial reporting as well as experience in use of automated accounting systems. You are proficient in MS Office skills, have ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English, proven skills in developing people and provide support, coaching, training, and career direction to others as well as experience in multicultural and multinational organisation.

    You have knowledge in the following areas:

    • broad knowledge of the IKEA concept, its Brand identity, Culture & Values and strategic directions
    • comprehensive knowledge of IKEA business, its market and industry; knowledge of Ingka group's core business operations and key interactions between businesses/functions
    • broad knowledge of Ingka’s business, financial and operational processes, their inter-dependencies and how to work through them
    • excellent knowledge of the measurement, processing and communication of financial information regarding economic entities, which aims to document the organizations’ resource management
    • excellent knowledge of Ingka’s accounting and financial reporting rules, standards and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • advanced knowledge of how to assess, analyse and mitigate risks in a business environment
    • excellent knowledge of how to plan, measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long term profitable growth
    • good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide ranging application in business context
    • advanced knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in Ingka
    • good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them

    You have ability in Business Partnering, i.e. strategic, tactical and operational business partner with strong analytical skills to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions as well as in Networking, i.e. strong network and relationship builder both within and outside of the own organization as well as within Communication, i.e. strong communicator with capacity to influence decisions and create energy and commitment within the organization as well as in Developing people, i.e. ability to inspire individuals and teams to accomplish organisational goals; motivate people to perform and grow by providing feedback, coaching, training and career direction. Finally, you have Business acumen, i.e. strong ability to recognize external trends and translate them into business opportunities and are Change oriented, i.e. able to handle a constantly changing environment with many different stakeholders and demands.

    What you'll be doing day to day

    To lead, steer and support overall Ingka financial reporting that is beneficial to people & planet and protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence. By providing Accounting & Reporting services, supporting a strong compliance framework, and effective governance to enable entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers and businesses.

    You will:

    • lead the development of the team based on the global finance, organisational and people development direction to secure the right competences, performance and succession
    • responsible for all financial reporting in compliance with INGKA Group frameworks and local GAAP and other (local) applicable regulations / requirements and secures effectiveness of the internal control framework within the financial operations
    • lead the team to achieve global standard frameworks and processes and efficiently deliver the right level of quality of accounting and reporting for business and compliance needs
    • responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with relevant external stakeholders and act as a trustful and professional business partner with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to support reaching overall goals and objectives
    • lead cooperation with Group Financial Controlling (matrix) and Country organisation to minimise deviations from standard global frameworks for local business needs and compliance reasons and secures effective ways of working
    • participate in global projects and support local execution (as part of these projects) to simplify, harmonise and automate financial operations and reporting
    • contribute ideas and insight to the business planning process from country, company, department, matrix perspective and use as a basis for the team action plan
    • secure close cooperation with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements and enable an efficient and effective external audit process
    • secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group
    • secure cross-organisational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach
    • ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies
