We are looking for you to lead the Engineering discipline in our global and cross-functional team.

Through your previous experience you know how to build and grow Agile Engineering teams, as well as develop an engineering culture allowing continuous learning through mistakes and innovation. You should bring solid experience with Engineering and Cloud Native development best practices, Google Cloud Platform, SRE/DevOps, Cloud Architecture and business requirements gathering experience. You care about Security, Automation, Scalability, Resilience, and Data Quality and how all of these impact the product life cycle.
You should also have an interest in keeping up with the latest advancements in Cloud technology, DevOps and Agile ways of working.

We expect you to have following knowledge / experience:
• Minimum 5 years of global team leadership and 1:1 coaching of Engineers in high-performing, multi-disciplined and Agile teams.
• Education in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Engineering equivalent.
• Experience setting and leading the strategic direction for an Engineering function.
• Strong cross-organizational stakeholder management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the full lifecycle development and operational aspects of Web Applications and Data Products on Google Cloud Platform. • Demonstrated experience managing Cloud Infrastructure and Application Security aspects of significant business products and services.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL and NoSQL DBs.
• Good knowledge of the IKEA Concept, brand identity and IKEA Culture & values.

Your Responsibilities:
• Recruit, lead and develop a global and multi-cultural team of Software & Systems Engineers to implement, evolve, support, and own software and system components to Group Digital quality standards following DevOps principles.
• Be accountable for technical delivery of products within the Strategy & Business Planning area scope. Provide technical domain knowledge, architectural leadership and coach the teams in high class standards for software engineering and operations. Help the team drive a cloud-first agenda, utilize the proper tools, enable automation for the specified business outcomes.
• Be the guardian of the Non-Functional Requirements that our cross-functional teams are delivering. This includes among other NFRs; adherence to our Architectural Strategy, Engineering Baseline, Quality and Security standards.
• Work closely with the assigned Product Owners and all groups within the Digital Technology organization to support the overarching Product Owner’s roadmap. Drive technology roadmap and technology strategy for the Strategy & Business Planning sub-domain.
• Secure that product teams are resourced with the right level and standard of Engineers, manage all technical resources and capacity plans within budget.
