We work as product and platform teams, bringing business processes, people, data, and technology together. This journey needs people who are curious, open to change, and motivated to make a difference. If this sounds like you, we’d love to welcome you onboard. Together, we can do great things.

    Job description

    About the Area

Operations Management is an enabling function within the Inter IKEA Group. Our mission is to lead and maintain the development of a strong and common foundation for how we work across the value chain.

    About the Job

Across Inter IKEA, Workday is our global HRIS platform, supporting efficient People & Culture processes and enabling real‑time insights for better decision‑making.

We currently support 26,000 co‑workers across 27 countries.
The core functional capabilities include HCM, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent.

As a Platform Specialist, you will:

    • Support the Platform Manager and Digital Product Leaders in identifying and delivering value through Workday as a platform.

    • Manage configurations, setups, and documentation within your functional areas.

    • Ensure smooth daily operations while also contributing to new development and improvements.

    • Work cross‑functionally in an agile, DevOps‑oriented environment where development and maintenance go hand in hand.

    • Partner closely with technology and business stakeholders across Inter IKEA Group to roll out and enhance People & Culture capabilities.

    • Support and guide users, promoting the use of global and common solutions and design principles.

    • Provide insights and analysis to enable good decision‑making.

    • Collaborate with colleagues across geographies and time zones to co‑create value.

    About You

You are a Workday professional who enjoys supporting others and improving people processes through digital solutions.

You thrive in a fast‑moving environment and enjoy creating results together with colleagues. You are motivated by simplifying and digitalizing ways of working, and by exploring new solutions together with the business.

You enjoy designing, building, and configuring Workday and approach tasks methodically. You are patient, collaborative, and energized by hands‑on work and teamwork.

You’re aligned with IKEA’s culture and values, and you’re motivated to contribute to a better everyday life for the many.

To be successful in this role, it’s helpful if you bring:

    • Experience working with HCM or other Workday domains (typically 3+ years, but equivalent skills and learning paths are welcome).

    • Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.

    • Ability to work cross‑functionally and support daily operations such as configuration, user administration, and troubleshooting.

    • Experience supporting Workday users and contributing to system enhancements.

    • Ability to understand business needs, translate them into Workday solutions, and collaborate on improvements.

    • Experience creating user-friendly documentation or training materials.

    • A collaborative approach to building strong relationships with stakeholders.

    • Experience configuring, testing, and deploying Workday solutions.

    • Ability to write clear test cases and acceptance criteria.

    • Fluency in written and spoken English.

If you meet most of the above but not all—we still encourage you to apply. Skills grow, and we’re committed to supporting your development.
