    About this work area

    As the Country Business Navigation Manager, you will be a proactive and trustworthy business partner, offering a multi-dimensional view to connect customer and organisational needs with a deep understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. You will support and challenge the organisation through business-case thinking, leading the promotion of lean and effective ways of working. Your role will be crucial in steering country Ingka business performance to benefit people and planet, protect assets, secure profitable growth, and ensure financial independence through robust services, compliance, and governance, safeguarding our people, customers, and businesses. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Plan and secure long-term financial development by connecting profit and loss to the objectives of the IKEA Direction, Market Penetration Plan, and identified business opportunities.
    • Drive and coordinate the financial business planning process, ensuring the financial plan aligns with BPL priorities, while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders on performance management and goal setting.
    • Drive and coordinate the business performance follow-up and forecasting process in the country, in line with the global business navigation year cycle and in close cooperation with the country management team and stores.
    • Secure a proactive, documented, and established approach to scenario planning and implementation, enabling quick reactions to performance deviations while maximizing short-term business performance.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse and evaluate benefits, costs, and investments, considering all relevant business perspectives to ensure a strong return on investment and robust business cases.
    • Promote the use of business cases when identifying, evaluating, and acting on business opportunities.
    • Support and challenge the planning, implementation, and follow-up of product and service pricing, in line with country pricing principles.
    • Navigate towards more effective and cost-conscious ways of working, identifying growth and cost potentials through benchmarking, striving for continuous improvements, and closing the performance gap between units.
    • Lead and develop the Business Navigation organisation in the country, securing Business Navigation competence within the function and disseminating it throughout the organisation.
    • Act as an active partner, contributing expertise to country projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Develop business and people with the customer in mind, secure learning within the business, and encourage entrepreneurial behaviour to explore future retail opportunities.

You possess strong commercial business knowledge, a deep understanding of data science, new technologies, and IKEA's specific concepts, tools, and strategic direction, including accounting principles. You are change-oriented, thriving in complex environments, and skilled in developing and inspiring people to achieve organisational goals through feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.

    To be considered for this role you will have:
    • Degree in Business Administration/Economics or related field or extensive experience in the industry.
    • 5-7 years with increased responsibility in business steering or finance-related field.
    • 3-5 years as a manager with experience from store or country/company level.
    • Strong communication and networking skills with capacity to influence decisions and commitments in different parts of the organisation.
    • Proven record of successful leadership, developing people, and providing support, coaching, training, and career direction to others.
