    We are looking for a Country Xplore Creative Leader to join Xplore Studio in Seoul. You will translate customer insights and emerging opportunities into concepts and experiences that people can understand, engage with and test.

    Established in 2024 as part of Ingka Group Strategy & Development, Xplore Studios help IKEA move faster by exploring new opportunities, testing ideas and developing solutions together with customers, co-workers, partners and local markets. Seoul serves as a living testbed for this work. Its dense urban environment, evolving lifestyles, digital behaviours, compact living and vibrant creative ecosystem offer unique opportunities to explore new ways of meeting customers and generate insights relevant to Korea and beyond.

    About the role
    As Country Xplore Creative Leader, you lead the creative development of Xplore initiatives, shaping how ideas are expressed, experienced and communicated. Working hands-on, you bring concepts to life through storytelling, prototypes, visualisations and creative communication, helping the Studio explore possibilities, involve people and learn through experimentation.

    You are:
    • Have experience in creative concept development, design, creative communication, brand, experience design or a related field.
    • Can translate insights, early ideas and emerging opportunities into clear, relevant and distinctive concepts.
    • Have strong storytelling and visual communication skills, making complex ideas accessible and engaging for different audiences.
    • Combine creative judgement with hands-on execution, moving comfortably between concept development, visualisation and practical experimentation.
    • Collaborate effectively with different disciplines, stakeholders and external creative partners, knowing when to work directly and when to bring in additional expertise.

    Your responsibilities

    • Develop concepts and creative directions: Translate insights, exploration opportunities and emerging propositions into clear, distinctive concepts and narratives that express the potential of an idea.
    • Shape the experience: Determine how a concept should be expressed and experienced, choosing the appropriate creative format, visual language and level of development for its purpose.
    • Lead hands-on creative development: Take creative work from early exploration through concept development, prototyping, feedback and iteration, working directly on the elements that benefit from rapid creative development.
    • Create compelling stories and communication: Develop presentations, visual communication and creative assets that help customers, co-workers, partners and other stakeholders understand and engage with the ideas being explored.
    • Capture creative learnings: Use feedback and experimentation to refine concepts and communicate how insights inform the next iteration.

    As part of Xplore, you will work with local and global stakeholders across the IKEA ecosystem. You will contribute to exploration, innovation and new ways of working by turning early ideas into concepts and experiences that can be understood, explored and developed. You will also help connect Seoul-based insights, creative work and experiments with relevant IKEA teams and markets.

    In the Xplore Studio, you will work closely with the Country Xplore Studio Leader and the Design & Innovation Leader, alongside colleagues, experts, creatives and external partners. You will report to the Country Xplore Studio Leader.
