In Supply Chain Operations (SCO), we make sure IKEA products reach the many people, every day.

Together with our partners across the IKEA value chain, we lead, plan and execute the flow of products from suppliers to stores in a simple, efficient and responsible way. By connecting planning and execution, we secure availability, affordability and sustainability, today and tomorrow.

Within SCO, Category Area Transport are responsible to procure, develop and operate all transport capacities in the IKEA supply chain within two categories - Land and Ocean & Air. We develop business together with our service providers in all dimensions, delivering excellent and sustainable performance with our strong business and people agenda. Focusing on automation, and standardisation and digitalization we are not only moving goods from point A to B but also contributing to the IKEA development agenda with efficiency, accuracy and precision in every transport we do.

In Category Land, it is an integral part of Category Area Transport and is responsible for securing and developing optimal land transport capacity at the right cost, in a sustainable way, fulfilling agreed service precision and quality demands, while complying with safety and security requirements. Through this, Category Land contributes directly to the IKEA Vision and Business Idea.
