    ・Basic communication Japanese (N1 Level).

    【GOOD TO HAVE】
    ・Ability to generate new ideas and concepts.
    ・Ability to draw, visualise and present an idea.
    ・Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
    ・Good attention to detail.
    ・Practical hands-on approach to work.
    ・Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. Auto CAD, Autodesk Revit)
    ・Basic communication skills in English.
    *You will use English for internal communications while Japanese skill is needed on operational terms (e.g. working with the commercial team etc.)

    ・Plan promotional displays that showcase products attractively based on seasonal themes
    ・Create and set up functional and beautiful showroom plans that inspire better living

    ・Provide functional and aesthetically pleasing home furnishing ideas based on knowledge of interiors and living
    ・Share insights about life at home with other departments to contribute to the business

    【About the Communication & Interior Design Department】
    We propose the optimal way to use IKEA products that suit people's lifestyles and environments. We introduce coordination ideas for Japanese homes that leverage the charm of Swedish design, helping more customers become interested in home furnishings and a more comfortable life at home. Do you have a passion for "providing a better everyday life for more people" through IKEA products?
    Our goal is not simply to sell furniture, but to create inspiration that exceeds the expectations of those who visit IKEA stores. By visually communicating ideas, we strengthen the IKEA brand and play a role in attracting more customers. We are required to create solutions that meet the needs of Japanese customers based on IKEA's global direction.

    Our Visual Merchandising team consists of 7 members, including the manager, and is responsible for the overall store layout and showcasing products more attractively using various techniques across different media. The team and individual tasks and projects are diverse, making it a perfect environment for those who enjoy creating various beautiful designs and functional solutions. The team atmosphere is very open, and we work together with mutual respect and cooperation. We have a strong self-leading culture, allowing us to take on new challenges daily with a sense of speed.     【Employment Type】
    • Full-time regular employee, 40 hours/week
    • Probationary period: 6 months
    • Start date: 1st of every month (please consult regarding the starting month)
    • Retirement system in place (age 65)
