At IKEA, we are expanding our home delivery operation and have exciting opportunities to join our growing team as Delivery Drivers! In this role you will be at the forefront of a new area in our business.

The expected start date for this role will be 15th of December 2024.


ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of IKEA goods to customers in the local area whilst delivering a high level of service, to ensure our customers have the best end to end experience at IKEA!


WHAT WE OFFER:

This role offers an attractive starting at £28,000 per annum. You will work 43.2 hours per week working a rolling rota of 4 days on and 2 days off. Hours of operation for this role are between 6am and 9pm. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You must have held a clean Full UK Drivers License for a minimum of 24 months.
• You are enthusiastic about delivering the best possible experience, are prepared to take responsibility and problem solve when things aren’t right.
• You are someone who takes Health & Safety seriously and are comfortable risk assessing your environment.
• You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle.
• You are a confident and capable driver, experienced in working with GPS and maps.
• You are someone who takes responsibility and will step in to support your team when necessary to secure tasks in connection to your role.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• You will be responsible for completing vehicle safety checks and taking appropriate action.
• You will load goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner ensuring the delivery route matches the goods for maximum efficiency.
• You will deliver goods to customer’s homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.
• We deliver all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes you will be required to handle a range of furniture items using safe manual handling practices, employing both one and two person lifting.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Final offers of employment are contingent upon clear results in mandatory background and substance misuse checks. Background checks must be completed by all successful candidates and will include driving records and criminal history.
