About the job:

This is a one-year assignment where as an Accountant, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, comparable and understandable financial information and secure proper and efficient accounting and reporting in compliance with local, legal and tax laws and standards. You will also support the organization through relevant analysis and trainings.

About the assignment:

As an Accountant, you will:

  • Responsible for documentation and accurate handling of all incoming financial information (group mailboxes, invoices etc.) according to local as well as internal guidelines and manuals.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely payments to vendors and co-workers: travel expense claims (TEC), vendor payments (IKEA Paying Agent), taxes (corporate tax, PIT, VAT, withholding tax), salary and petty cash management.
  • Responsible for cash & bank and other reconciliations on a regular basis, securing needed cash–flow is sufficient to cover needs.
  • Responsible for accruals for the monthly, bi-monthly-, half year- and year end closing and documentation.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis of the PL accounts to detect any discrepancies and ensure all bookings are correctly captured in the correct month.
  • Responsible for the office fixed asset management; all fixed assets are correctly tagged, maintain fixed assets records, including depreciations on Group level and local (tax) level and perform yearly physical checks
  • Responsible for reconciliation of accounts and intercompany transactions.
  • Support for financial reporting and local and legal statutory reports (SAP reporting, VAT, income tax, yearend closing).
  • Be a speaking partner for various stakeholders.
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of Inter IKEA values and contribute to the global BNFA agenda and projects.

Qualification

Qualifications:

About you:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, OR relevant experience
  • Knowledge of tax, financial processes, and general accounting procedures
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Good in organizing tasks and willing to take responsibility
  • Capability to handle sensitive information with high integrity
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting/reporting is an advantage
  • 1 year in similar position is an advantage
  • Be a team player
