• Good knowledge and experience in creating innovative and fully automated infrastructure/technology platforms.
• Good knowledge of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) technology.
• Good knowledge of automation and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell), common development concepts such as Git, CI/CD and working with REST API’s to enable engineers and developers to consume our services
• Good knowledge and experience of cross-functional collaboration with DevOps teams across the organisation to architect, onboard, automate and troubleshoot infrastructure/technology
• Good knowledge in server management, monitoring, and dashboard creation in an enterprise environment

The Systems Engineer we are looking for should have:

• Preferably relevant maintenance and development experience in Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
• Proficiency in operating and using Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience and enthusiasm in automation programming.
• Adherence to IKEA's core values.
• Strong emphasis on teamwork and sharing of experiences.

We believe that you have extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation, including infrastructure as code. We value knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI/Nutanix). You see diversity as a strength, and like to work with different cultures in a truly global environment.

Among many tasks you will:

• Take daily operations for HCI support.
• Be a part of the development, provisioning, operation, and life-cycle management of core infrastructure solutions through automation and self-service capabilities in our warehouses, stores, and offices globally.
• Ensure and review systems compliance towards legislations, policies, or other requirements.
• Take responsibility for cooperation and align key stakeholders throughout the IKEA Group with interdependencies towards Group Digital to develop Product/Service design and technical roadmaps.
• You will establish the necessary dashboards for visualisation of our service metrics such as usage, cost and compliancy to ensure our efficiency.

As a Systems Engineer within Distributed Hosting, you will be a part of the team responsible for designing and delivering well designed, secure and scalable core infrastructure solutions in IKEA stores, warehouses and offices to support consumers across IKEA globally. You will be surrounded by skilled & experienced engineers that are organised in fully empowered teams.

At IKEA we are all leaders and your manager works according to servant leadership, meaning that you need to take personal lead in your assignment together with the team, and your manager helps you succeed.

We are passionate about our engineering culture, where fast feedback is enabled by automation and with our consumers are In focus. The IKEA culture and values are very much a part of our business and day to day work life. For you to thrive and grow with IKEA it’s important for us that you share our values!

We value development speed and fast feedback a lot, and we build infrastructure as code. We are responsible for the things we build and design throughout the whole life-cycle, which means operations status is an important input of our work, for developing the right solutions.

At IKEA, we welcome all dimensions of diversity. A diverse and inclusive workplace is good for our co-workers. Simply put, we believe the uniqueness of every individual makes IKEA better!
