Job description

What we would like you to bring to the table  

As a Process Developer trainee, you will be a part of creating solutions that explore and define business needs and the rationale for change and recommend solutions that deliver business value.  

You create sustainable customer value, growth and profitability for IKEA by leading and contributing to the company processes development; how we work, lead and organize, with process orientation as the starting point. You Identify and propose process/sub process design and/or improvement initiatives and prepare basis for decisions. Furthermore, you gather, understand and analyse business benefit of identified process improvement potentials.  
 
In addition to the work assignment, we also offer a unique opportunity with a one-year onboarding program together with other trainees in different roles and countries across IKEA, aiming to give you the best possible start in your IKEA journey. In the trainee program you will be able to get a deeper understanding of the IKEA value chain, business processes, tech challenges and opportunities, our culture and values and more.

Qualification

What kind of co-worker are we looking for?  

We’re searching for someone who thrives in finding better ways to get things done. Someone that can learn fast about IKEA’s complexity and can support to improve our ways of doing things. Someone that is not scared of intellectual challenges and who has strong communicative and social skills. A co-worker who is passionate about the wellbeing of our planet and considers equal opportunities for everyone, a no-brainer. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate for this role:  

  • Educational background within Engineering, Business Administration, Behavioral Science or equivalent and/or 1 - 3 years of work experience in the field (preferably experience of working in Strategic Consulting firm)

  • Strong analytical skills for quantitative problem-solving, paired with high attention to detail. 

  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate information, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions. 

  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with different projects for you to work on. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a second language. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to changing environments. 

  • A wish to grow with IKEA and to help millions of people look forward to going home
