About the role

To strengthen our Digital Business Solution team, we are looking for Data Engineer’s in our Digital Product team for Business Performance (analytics).

Things you can expect to do in this role, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, business representatives and data architect to understand the business and data requirements and develop data products to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing systems and infrastructure, identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Document data pipelines, workflows, and system architectures, and provide knowledge sharing and training to enable other team members to understand and utilize data engineering tools and processes effectively.
  • Assess business requirements for completeness and accuracy and determine if requirements are actionable for ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Load). Work with business/solution owners to close issues and gaps
  • Lead the development and validation of data integration (ETL) pipelines needed to ingest/transform data to and from transactional systems and warehouses
  • Develop communication content (e.g., release notes) in line with the business needs
  • Be responsible for all aspects of integrating, and processing data, including associated data modelling.

Knowledge, capabilities and motivation

As the ideal candidate we expect you to have minimum of 3 years of data integration experience  and the following capabilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of GIT as a source control system
  • Experience working with Data Bricks & Spark
  • Experience in ingesting raw files in cloud native data platform .
  • Proficiency in authorization model Azure.
  • Setting up authorisation and access control and making sure that the data pipelines are secured.
  • Extensive Knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Extensive experience working in agile project environments
  • Experience in working with building data products on Azure using tools such as data bricks and synapse.
  • Proficiency in building ETL pipelines from structured data sources and data warehousing and big data processing
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Management concepts. Technical knowledge in database design, data models, and segmentation techniques
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
