PURPOSE OF THE JOB

But what is Trainee? Is this case, is a person who will be included in a training and development process alongside the P&C Manager for a certain period of time with the goal of acquiring all the necessary skills to cover that role in the future.
You will support the P&C Manager and you will be a business partner for Managers and Leaders of the Unit to contribute to the unit management team to secure People strategies are locally implemented into action in the most effective and efficient way. Facilitate a working environment where the IKEA values and culture are a living reality.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:


• You have a good experience in People&Culture area and a relevant experience in leading a group of people.
• You are an empathetic person and you have a strong ability to communicate with impact and to facilitate complex conversations.
• You have an analytical and logical mindset and the ability to drive decisions based on the people agenda but also on numbers and on business needs.
• As a person you are passionate about people and you have a strong belief in individuals’ potential, you are also passionate in creating an engaging co-worker experience and are able to lead business through people.
• You reflect what IKEA stands for and the IKEA values.
• You have the ability to implement long-term plans according to set budget and goals, developing virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives.
• Ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player, with ability to influence and inspire. You demonstrate the ability of use different leadership styles and needs as well as appropriate use for different situations.
• You have the knowledge of identifying, assessing, encouraging and ensuring co-workers’ performance against organisational and individual goals.
• Willingness to future national or international mobility.
• Ability to speak both in Italian and in English (at least B2 level).

What you'll be doing day to day

• Act as a P&C business partner to the Market Manager on all People topics
• Lead and develop the unit P&C team to provide excellent co-worker experience
• Ensure the people strategy, global principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team and relevant business plans are operationally implemented and lived up to
• Influence unit management team to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their function
• Support the building of local business competence & performance by setting and working on relevant goals
• Ensure delivery of learning & training at unit level, supported by the P&C Generalist or Market Area Learning Delivery Specialist
• Ensure local employer communication is consistent, well perceived and builds on the IKEA brand
• Together with the market area manager, secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers in taking the lead with special focus on developing talents and high-performing potentials
• Be a good example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA
• Responsible for implementation of co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labour relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and law
• Together with the Business Navigation Manager responsible for the distribution of budget hours between the unit departments, according to the need of the business and the co-worker, enabling an effective and efficient people planning process.
