Job description
The purpose of this job is to support the growth of Ikano Retail México by managing the tax reporting compliance process. This role involves collaborating with the finance team to ensure full compliance for Ikano companies through the maintenance of accurate accounting records, fulfilment of system requirements, and promotion of adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external legal obligations.
Your assignment
- Lead monthly tax compliance and establish a strong tax framework across business units.
- Ensure tax compliance for IKANO MX companies by reviewing VAT/GST submissions, Corporate Tax Returns, and focusing on the “Dictamen Fiscal.”
- Navigate changes in Mexican regulations (misceláneas fiscales) in collaboration with tax advisors.
- Support the Financial Department in developing compliant financial models, processes, and training.
- Drive internal and external tax audits.
- Maintain precise accounting records to ensure comprehensive tax compliance for IKANO companies.
- Assess tax implications for new business areas and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve deliverables and deadlines.
- Foster compliance with internal policies and external legal requirements.
- Provide standardized, user-friendly business information across all entities
Qualification
- Degree in Accounting or Economics, with specialization or proved experience in tax management with min 5 years of experience in local tax context.
- You are a natural leader with good leadership skills who can guide and provide coaching to the team , provide direction to navigate changes and able to implement new direction effectively.
- A good team player who can partner well with key stakeholders and work collaborative as a team.
- You are driven by IKEA business ideas, cultures and values.
- Highly initiative and motivated on the development of new ways of working, with focus on simplicity.
- Good command in English – both written and speaking
- A strong problem solver who has the ability to challenge the norm.
