You have a passion for Home Furnishing, Customer Centric thinking and behaviours, as well as care and empathy for people. Previous retail experience is required, and we believe you bring experience of working in a commercial role, including previous senior management experience and previous leadership of large teams or groups. You possess the ability to lead leaders at a high level, with a proven track record of developing high level leaders. In addition, you have problems solving skills and hold the ability to think, lead and act strategically. You have a proven record of successful leadership in a people-centric organization, and bring experience of leading in a changing environment. Moreover, you have the ability to drive a high volume business and the acumen to drive P&L results. You bring the ability of setting and implementing action plans and providing clear direction as well as following up goals. You have proven record of developing people and organizations. In addition, you hold proven record of consistently meeting agreed budgets and goals, and working on plans over a number of years. In order to make the most efficient use of time available you bring proven ability to prioritize and organize work and the work of others. You have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English, and you possess the ability to engage a receiver by creating a passion for your plans and to inspire others.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• how to drive extraordinary growth, profitability and increase customer recruitment, conversion, participation and lifetime value through unique, customer-centric membership benefits, rewards and engagement activities
• IKEA’s digital strategy and transformation and how to be an ambassador for digital retailing
• how to set direction, create and manage plans, set budgets and goals, and follow up on KPIs across all channels
• how to secure growth, low cost and sustainable profitability in accordance with our overall purpose, retail direction and our financial strategy
• how to ensure high quality execution of all People processes securing performing, competent and engaged co-workers
• business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and leadership technique

What you'll be doing day to day
The main aim for this role is to drive extraordinary growth and brand positioning, maximising sales and encouraging an excellent shopping experience across all channels within a market, strengthening the competitive position of IKEA in a Market.
In this role you will lead and develop a part of the Unit/ Store Management Team to achieve IKEA goals and standards, delivering an efficient and profitable operation in line with the IKEA Concept to secure IKEA as the best home furnishings company in the local market.
It will be important to drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered
You will:
Assignments specific to the role:
• direct and develop IKEA retailing in the local market and ensures alignment with the IKEA vision, IKEA business idea, human resource idea, and the INGKA Retail Direction
• strengthen competitive position through building a strong IKEA Brand position and increase customer base by growing the IKEA market share within the total market
• co-develop the Market Growth Plan, Market Commercial Plan and provide input on local priorities
• develop, lead and deliver growth, low cost and sustainable profitability in accordance with our overall purpose, retail direction and our financial strategy within the Market to maximise the growth and potential of the market P&L.
• ensure that the unit/ store works ethically and in compliance with internal regulations and external laws including legislation relating to risk, environment, health, and safety.
• partner with other Market Mgrs., the Area Mgr. and country service office to share entrepreneurial ideas and express opportunities for improvement on current ways of working
• secure competent and high-performing teams and leaders who inspire, and empower every co-worker to recognize and understand their contribution
• position the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home in the local market by ensuring the IKEA Concept is implemented in a consistent manner in order to continually show the depth and width of the IKEA product range through relevant, affordable, functional, inspiring and sustainable home furnishing solutions in all media and channels
• represent IKEA values and nurture a strong IKEA culture that inspires co-workers to extraordinary achievements in the unit/store
