About the job

You lead and inspire your team to optimize the shopping experience to secure satisfied customers and increased sales and profitability in your store. You achieve this by tapping into your knowledge of the IKEA product range, the local market, competition and customers. Your leadership is based on performing and delivering while learning and developing in the business, always leading with IKEA values and fostering the unique IKEA culture. You use the IKEA tools and expertise of your team and your colleagues to support you. In your strategies and actions, you always consider and steer the business in a multichannel retail environment, particularly the IKEA store and the IKEA website. You actively work towards fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store.

Your assignment

• Ensure vitality in our stores across all media by working closely with the commercial team.
• Optimise campaigns, activities, and the commercial calendar to increase visitation.
• Use knowledge and data of our markets and competitors to secure a range mix that is appropriate for the market, maximising our competitive advantage and widening our customer base.
• Choose and present the IKEA range to reflect its width and depth, inspiring and satisfying our visitors’ different tastes and preferences.
• See the store through the eyes of our customers and provide constructive, honest feedback to our team on how we can improve the shopping experience.
• Lead and evaluate the planning process for the store, collaborating with and influencing our commercial team to maximise commercial opportunities by selecting and communicating products effectively to grow sales and increase visits.
• Proactively work with the commercial calendar, coordinating all campaigns, activities, and products with high commercial potential, including store-specific opportunities. Plan well in advance to secure availability and communicate these plans effectively.
• Secure volumes in line with IKEA business rules, working closely with Logistics and Supply.
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities through attractive activities, events, and campaigns.

Your profile

• Deep passion for selling and people’s everyday life at home
• Business-minded with analytical and data-driven mindset and the ability to turn customer insights into commercial strategies.
• Result-driven with a customer focus.
• Experience in sales steering, layout as commercial tool, promotional planning and/or commercial execution.
• Natural collaborator who excels at aligning cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to coach co-workers and influence commercial decisions; ability to communicate in English.
