  • What you'll need to have

    【Required Skills&Experience】
    ・Professional experience in graphic design
    ・Knowledge of graphic communication design, media, and typography
    ・Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator), with knowledge and experience in printing and printers, and general computer skills (Windows)
    ・Experience in retail and/or home furnishing industries
    ・Proven experience as a leader with the ability to influence and guide others
    ・Business-level Japanese language proficiency
    ・Basic communication skills in English

    【Responsibilities】
    ・Lead and actively support the team and cross-functional partners to strengthen and maintain a unique and consistent IKEA brand identity within the store
    ・Take ownership of the planning and execution process to communicate the IKEA concept, while complementing and enhancing product presentation, by leveraging proven solutions, best practices, guidelines, and local market directions
    ・Develop, implement, and evaluate store communication strategies based on insights into local home furnishing needs, customer behavior, and market conditions, to create a convenient and inspiring shopping experience
    ・Stay up to date with retail design trends and facilitate creative workshops that inspire and surprise visitors through IKEA’s visual and verbal identity
    ・Understand the impact of your actions on financial performance and collaborate with other departments to execute action plans that drive business growth and profitability
    ・Ensure visual balance and consistency, as well as high-quality and cost-effective execution in all store communication production and implementation

    【Purpose of Job】
    ・To lead, develop and inspire the Communication&Interior Design team and other store functions in securing that store communication completes and amplifies the shopping experience and range presentation through IKEA visual and verbal identity thereby contributing to building consumers' perception of the IKEA Brand in the local market as unique and consistent.

    【Work Hours】
    ・8:00-17:00 (Shift Work)
    (Primarily weekday shifts, with occasional weekend and public holiday shifts depending on business needs)

    【Location/Access】
    IKEA Shin-Misato
    ・By train: Approximately an 8-minute walk from Shin-Misato Station (JR Musashino Line)
    ・By car/motorbike: Commuting by car or motorbike is allowed (parking available)

    About this work area

    【Employment Status】
    - Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
    - Probation period: 6 months
    - Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
    - Retirement age: 65 years old
