    • What you'll need to have

    • You have previous experience in the Health and Safety and Security sector and/or Safety and Security experience within a Retail environment or a minimum of 2 years related experience.
    • You’re knowledgeable of relevant safety standards and regulations, security processes, tools and working methods.
    • You’re energized by the implementation of safeguards that bring value to the business and protect the financial and moral position; you can ensure the integrity of safety and security systems, guidelines and documentation.
    • You know how to conduct a risk assessment and implement the hierarchy of controls.
    • You have good communication and documentation skills in dealings with various levels of management.
    • You think and work in a risk-based way (i.e. Evaluate trade-offs between potential costs and benefits and acts accordingly).
    • Standard First-aid Certificate and a valid Ontario Security License is preferred.
    • You have good analytical and numerical skills.
    • This role requires flexible availability across all operating hours, 7 days a week, based on scheduling needs.

    A day in your life with us

    • Promote risk Management in the unit, informing and sharing expertise, in order to develop risk-aware decision taking in relation to unit goals and unit business plan.
    • Support co-workers, by providing expertise in acting in accordance with Ingka Rules and Local (country and regional) legislation to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
    • Promote and ensure completion of trainings needed and facilitate for co-workers to meet IKEAs/ Ingka's risk appetite.
    • Support Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and conscious approach in identifying, as well as implementing systems to detect, analyse and reduce business loss, financial impact, prevent incidents and accidents.
    • Ensure the reporting of relevant figures for e.g. co-workers, customer and visitors incidents to establish progress and areas for improvement.

    The starting rate/ salary for this position is 21.48 CAD
