  • Do you want to be part of shaping the future of IKEA Barkarby and help create a home furnishing experience that exceeds our customers' expectations? IKEA Barkarby has ambitious goals and exciting plans for the future, and the journey is already underway.

We are passionate about our range, and our products are an important part of our identity. We bring this to life by creating home furnishing solutions that make the most of the IKEA range. In doing so, we create an experience that feels relevant and personal to the many people in our market. We are looking for a creative and experienced leader with a passion for home furnishing, Visual Merchandising, and life at home. You have education and/or experience in Visual Merchandising, as well as leadership experience within retail.

You thrive in a role where you combine strategic thinking with operational execution and are motivated by leading through change. To succeed in this role, you have a visionary mindset, a strong interest in trends, and the courage to stand out, qualities that help you create an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. You are curious about finding new ways to meet and engage customers across both digital and physical channels.

As a leader, you are confident, clear, and humble. You create engagement and foster development through hands-on leadership, clear expectations, and coaching. You have the courage to make decisions and set priorities, even in a fast-paced environment and when circumstances change, while maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture and drive work forward in a structured way.

For this role, you need to be fluent in Swedish and/or English.

    Your responsibilities

As Visual Merchandising Manager, you will work both operationally and strategically. Your main responsibilities will be:

    - Contribute to solutions throughout the store that ensure an excellent shopping experience for IKEA customers
    - Plan and implement strong visual presentations adapted to the store layout
    - Drive the commercial calendar and work with store design and planning
    - Ensure drawings, planning processes, timelines, and budgets are in place and followed
    - Develop and lead your team through collaboration, encouragement and strong communication
    - Work closely with other functions such as Sales, Logistics and Customer Experience
    - Stay up to date with the latest trends through market and brand research

    About this work area

You will be part of the Communication & Interior Design function, where co-workers within Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Graphic Communication, and Carpentry work closely together to create inspiring customer experiences.
You will lead a team of approximately 10 Visual Merchandisers who report directly to you. You will be expected to coach and develop them in line with IKEA's People Idea and values.

This is a full-time fixed-term position for 8 months, based in Barkarby, Stockholm, with a preferred start date as soon as possible, according to agreement. The position involves daytime work on weekdays.

At IKEA, we offer benefits such as a co-worker discount, wellness allowance, health account, and a bonus program for all co-workers. Most importantly, however, IKEA offers you a workplace where there is a strong belief in you and your potential. We are a workplace with many opportunities to grow. When you grow, IKEA grows too!
