    Job description

    • Contribute to sustainable availability of our regulated product range by ensuring it is sellable and compliant with all national requirements and legislation. I work with stores and IoS to share knowledge and information of local market requirements. I also work closely with Sales Leaders and Availability and Supply Support team to ensure the regulated NEWs products are approved timely for precision sales start.

    • Identifying existing, developing or amended national product legislations and standards i.e. Safety, Environmental, Health, Quality and Legal information specific to my retail market. Ensure that methods are in place for monitoring, mapping, follow-up and implementation of all relevant standards.

    • Report changes to national product legislation and standards and provide IoS PR&C with an analysis of the content and possible implications, with sufficient lead time for IKEA to implement any action required.

    • Support both store and IoS PR&C in product investigations and matters concerning product safety and non-compliance and support local Public Relations in product safety-related issues. Handle all product safety and non-compliance-related contacts with national authorities or relevant organisations.

    • Identify product recall and product safety reporting procedures on the local market and keep IoS PR&C informed of these. implement and follow up the Safety Alarm Routine (IKEA 0004)

    • Participate in and/or monitor national standardization work and business associations to drive improvements of product related standards. I continually look to find more effective ways of working.

    • Develop a good working relationship with national consumer authorities and I am identified as the IKEA contact person in all matters relating to product safety and compliance on the local market.

    • I ensure product compliance related training where necessary. I support the stores with training materials and competence development of the people who report risk/alarm cases. I am responsible for my own development and look to my manager and my matrix for support in improving my competences. I work with my manager to identify my successor.

    • I work in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety, security and the environment.

    Qualification
    • Know the PCD cycle.
    • Know what on shelf availability (OSA) is, how it is measured and what is the goal.
    • Know all the product regulating authorities on my market.
    • Know how to stay updated on new product legislation on my market.
    • Regularly visit key authorities on my market.
    • Know how to use the MMR tool.
    • Know how to support stores with product safety matters.
    • Know the CASY system – how and when it is used.
    • Know all consumer authorities on my market.
    • Be able to prioritize and organize individual work duties, to make the most efficient use of the time available.
    • Have a flexible approach to my daily tasks and be able to adapt to unpredictable situations when they arise.
    • Be open to new ideas and changes in ways of working.
    • Have good personal discipline and be committed to delivering according to expectations.
    • Have good attention to detail in order to secure accuracy in all that I do.
    • Be confident in approaching and talking to people and demonstrate a friendly manner when approached by colleagues.
