    As a Country Insights Specialist for IKEA Australia & New Zealand, your role is to create actionable insights that enable better-informed strategies, plans, and decisions within the local market. You will play a crucial part in informing business partners on how to create value and drive growth for the business. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
    • Conduct and support market research & data analytics to gather essential market, competitive, consumer, customer, and brand data, working under the guidance of senior team members within Country Insights & Analytics, and synthesize valuable insights from this research.
    • Support the development of recommendations by creating compelling data narratives from insights to contribute to and achieve better informed decision making.
    • Adopt and implement global insights tools, methodologies, and solutions, ensuring best practices are applied locally.
    • Collaborate actively with senior team members to effectively inform key stakeholders across the country organisation about new insights and findings.
    • Contribute to fostering an open and sharing climate, stimulating a data-driven culture, acting as a role model of the IKEA values, and actively participating in the ongoing transformation of IKEA.



    You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to effectively convert market, consumer, and customer data into commercially viable insights. You are capable of prioritising tasks and making decisions with speed and simplicity, while also taking a holistic view of a global organisation to identify relevant business opportunities. Your ability to follow up, measure performance, and capture learnings is key to improving planning and future outcomes. You have good knowledge of home furnishing and retail market drivers and KPIs, along with experience in various consumer research methodologies. You understand store activation, assortment management, pricing, in-store communication, and shopper journeys. You have a understanding of change management and stakeholder management, and are familiar with the IKEA omnichannel reality and online customer behaviours. Furthermore, you have a good grasp of operational plans, goals, and how to follow up on KPIs, coupled with knowledge of customer behaviours and market trends that can help IKEA attract, develop, and retain customers.

    To be considered for this role you will have:
    •Formal qualifications in computer science, data analytics, business management, or an equivalent field.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Insights & Analytics, with a proven ability to deliver results.
    • At least 1 year of experience within the retail sector.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in driving output and measuring performance.
    • Demonstrated analytical and research skills.
    • Good data visualisation (e.g PowerBI) and presentation skills.
    • Experience in utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as internal data for insightful analysis.
    • Met expectations in your FY25 end of year performance evaluation.

    Additional information:
    • Permanent, full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
    • Location for the role is IKEA Service Office, Tempe, NSW.
    • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a national police check.
